MIDDLESEX - Elbridge Venson Johnson, 91 passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Jim Robertson will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Jean Tyson Johnson of the home; daughters, Rhonda Carter (Don) of Middlesex and Gail Johnson (Rick) of Middlesex; four grandchildren,

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janie Johnson; sisters, Melva Harris, Beulah Evans and Hazel Price and his brothers, Otha Johnson, Ivan Johnson, Rudolph Johnson and Joseph Johnson.
