NASHVILLE - Bernetta Walker, age 80, passed away Friday, July 18, 2008. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Bunn Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregory Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Annetta Hilliard, of Rocky Mount and Mallie McNeill, of Raleigh; two sons Albernice Walker, of Nashville, and Alton Walker, of Bloomsburg, PA; four sisters, Ruther Scott, of Rocky Mount, Rozell Pettiford, Charlean Richardson and Dorothy Evans, all of Nashville; two brothers, Claudie Richardson, of Nashville and John Richardson, of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Open visitation was held Tuesday, May 22, 2008 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.
