Frances Jenettie Calhoun Morris, 92, passed away July 17, 2019. She was born in Edgecombe County on December 30, 1926 to the late Mark and Marion Whitfield Calhoun. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Morris; one sister, Margaret Joyner; and one brother, Billy Calhoun.

Frances is survived by her sons, Robert Morris Jr. (Carolyn), Mark Morris (Beechye), John Morris (Nancy); eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Peggy Williams.

A funeral service was held Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Sunset Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. Robin Fisher officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
