SPRING HOPE - Efonise Blackwell, age 69, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008. He was born March 17, 1939 in Franklin County to the late Roy and Mardeci Blackwell.

Survivors include his brothers, Roy (Ruth) and James (Geraldine) Blackwell of Alexandria, VA, Ivery (Margie) Blackwell of Spring Hope, Larry Blackwell of Ponchatoula, LA, Donnie Blackwell of Baltimore, MD; sisters Dorothy Thornton (Douglas) of Baltimore, MD, Rachel Franks (Jimmy) of Clinton, MD, Brenda Boone of Ft. Washington, MD; one uncle, Rev. Willard Blackmon of Middlesex; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, and special companion, Della Byrd of Garner.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Spaulding Family Resource Center Auditorium in Spring Hope with the elder H.C. Eatmon officiating.
