SPRING HOPE - Josephine Smith Carpenter, age 69, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 1 p.m. at Cathedral of Love Church, Middlesex. Burial will follow in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens. A wake will be held on Friday night from 6-7 PM at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope.

Survivors: daughter, Brittney Carpenter of Spring Hope; stepdaughters, Tonya Evans (Dan) of Bunn, Clarissa Perry of the home; sisters, Patricia Lindsay (Miller) of Rocky Mount of Betty Perry (Carl), Carolyn Baker (Willie) and Sherri Hall (Stewart) all of Spring Hope, Belinda Howard (Steve) of Rocky Mount; brothers, Levester Moore, Jr. and Gary Moore of Spring Hope, Deon Moore of PA, Michael Moore of Spring Hope and Douglas Pridgen of Stanhope; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
