JULIE BLOOMER BOONE BAKER



SANDY CROSS – Julie Bloomer Boone Baker, 84, passed away June 23, 2008, after an extended illness. She was born in Nash County on December 23, 1923 to the late Frank High and Mahala Taylor Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer T. Baker in 1993. Bloomer was a life-long member of Sandy Cross United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory, her daughter, Wanda B. Joyner and husband, Steve of Sandy Cross; sons, Eddie High Baker and wife, Tammy of Tampa, FL, Jamie K. Baker of Sandy Cross, and Randall Baker and wife, Linda also of Sandy Cross; sister, Murdie Murray of Elm City; and brother, James W. Boone also of Elm City; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the Boone Family Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Reavis and Rev. Judson Dunlap officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of Jamie K. Baker.
