WILMINGTON - Nancy Ellis Taylor, age 84, formerly of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Born in Halifax County on May 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late B.H. Ellis, Sr. and Doshie Price Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert B. "Dickie" Taylor of Rocky Mount; sisters, Esther Young, Margie Anderson, and Janice Willey; and brother, B.H. Ellis, Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy Taylor of Wilmington, and Robin Horne of Rocky Mount; three granddaughters; brother, Sidney Ellis.
Services will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1 - 2 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
