ROCKY MOUNT - Eva Ricks Bizzell, age 92, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Born in Nash County on January 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Allison C. Ricks and Pearl W. Ricks. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Douglas S. Deans and Henry E. Bizzell; three sisters, Agnes Respess, Evelyn Crickenburger, Joyce Cockrell and one brother, Stafford Ricks.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Smiley (Larry) and son, Douglas Deans (Charlene); three grandchildren; one step grandson; nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, February 16, 2019 with Rev. Bennett Carlton Cockrell and Rev. Bill Coffee officiating. A private burial was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nash Hospice.
