ROCKY MOUNT - Margaret Estelle Burrage Hogshire, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Born in Edgecombe County on October 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William Burrage and Estelle Calcutt Burrage. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Judson Hogshire; step-mother, Vivian Burrage; and brothers, Willard Burrage and Beverly "Bevo" Burrage.

She is survived by her sons, William Judson Hogshire, Jr. and wife, Teresa, of Tarboro, Michael Lee Hogshire of Nashville, and John Thomas Hogshire and wife, Gail, of Wake Forest; and daughter, Beverly Broad and husband, Douglas, of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rocky Mount, with Pastor Alice Curl officiating. Burial of Cremains followed the service at Pineview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 433 S. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
