ROCKY MOUNT - Joyce Fuller Phillips, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Born in Nash County on September 30, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William C. Fuller and Beulah Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alwyn Phillips, Jr.; five sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by her son, Alwyn Phillips III of Rocky Mount and daughter, Julie Fowler and husband, Michael, of Tarboro; her two sisters, Mary Frances Taylor and Barbara Ann Drake.

Services were held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount.
