ALBEMARLE - James E. Richardson, formerly of Rocky Mount. passed away December 27, 2018.

James, the son of the late Woodrow and Siddie Richardson was born in Rocky Mount.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, John Thomas and Charles Frank Richardson and one sister, Geraldine R. Williams.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda R. Johnson (Navarous) and Barbara R. Holt; one son, Kenneth W. Richardson all of Albemarle, NC; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one God-grandchild; four brothers and three sisters, Ruth Beamon of Nashville, Woodrow Richardson (Dora) of Shertz, Texas, Stephen Richardson (Nell) of Spring Hope, Sarah Forbes (Moses) of Statonsburg, Robert Richardson (Brenda) of Rocky Mount, Jack Richardson (Eva) of Wilson, and Patricia Harper of Whittakers; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be on Friday, January 4, 2019, 1 p.m., Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Burial will follow in the Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle, North Carolina.

The Richardson Family will be receiving friends at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Linda Johnson, 1238 Magnolia Street, Albemarle, North Carolina.

The Richardson Family will greet family and friends on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 12:30-1:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
