James A. Boswell, Sr., 84, of Middlesex died Friday, December 28, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 8980 Old Beulah Rd., Kenly, NC, with Rev. Daniel Arant officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Surviving are his wife, Rochelle O'Neal Boswell; one son, James A. Boswell, Jr. (Janie) of Stantonsburg; one daughter, Diane Hardy (Wayne) of Nashville; three step-children, Les Parrish (Tiffany), Lisa McAllister (Scott) and Brent Parrish; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Keith Reddick of Rock Ridge; and two sisters, Barbara Edwards of Wilson and Pat Wall of Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Allen "Ricky" Boswell; parents, Floyd and Daisy Owens Boswell; two brothers; and two sisters.

Flowers are welcome and memorials may be directed to Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 8980 Old Beulah Rd., Kenly, NC 27542.
