Charlie Raymond Newell, died December 8, 2018. He was born in Nash County on September, 27th 1930. He was the son of the late James Allen Newell Sr and Lettie Maud Nelms. Charlie was preceded in death by wife Eve Johnson of Baliey , two brothers, Cooper Felix Newell and John Allen Newell Jr, two sisters, Daisy Ayers and Nellie Williams.

He had an extended family in the Nash County area which included the following families; Ayers, Champion, Clack, Faulkner, Jordan, Nelms, Newell, Ricks, Sutton, and Worrel.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
