William Robert Jackson, 88, passed away November 16, 2018. He was born in Wilson County on June 12, 1930 to the late Lonnie Robert and Iva Etheridge Jackson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son James Jackson; brothers, Lonnie "Buster" E. Jackson, Glenwood "Pete" Jackson, Wilbur "Punk" Jackson, Billy and Jimmy Jackson; sister Inez Bass, step sons Chris Clinton Hardy and Kipling Carter Hardy.

He is survived by his wife Pattie Carter Hardy Jackson; sons Joe and Mark Jackson; step daughter Janie Davis; brother Bobby Jackson (Margaret); sisters Doris Godwin and Marie Jackson; several grandchildren, step children, step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the service being held at 12 p.m with Pastor Ramon Mizell officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Living Faith Fellowship Church of Rocky Mount or a church of your choice.
