Robert Edgar Gardner, 82, passed away November 13, 2018. He was born in Wilson County to the late Ennis Lee and Ada Mercer Gardner. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Tyndall Gardner; sister Joan Griffin and a grandson David Glenn Gardner.
Robert is survived by his son Robert Glenn Gardner (Michelle); daughters, Sandra Gardner Manning (Mike) and Patricia Gardner Proctor(William); twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Harry Gardner (Elaine) and Gene Gardner (Ann); sister Faye Logg and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Kenny Byrd officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will meet other times at the home of Mike and Sandra Manning at 505 Golfers Lane Nashville, NC.
