Larry Kent Parker, 67, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born June 10, 1951 in Nash County to the late Romus and Minnie Tyson Parker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrie Parker.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Joyce Smith Parker; son, Jeffery Kent Parker; brother, Michael Parker; sister, Crystal Shearin; brother-in-law, Danny Ray Shearin; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Steve Brown officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the home of niece, Kelli Pridgen at 7755 Vaughan Chapel Rd. Elm City, NC 27822
