ROCKY MOUNT - Lester Eugene Weaver, age 80, passed away on October 25, 2018. He was born in Nash County to the late Frank B. and Myrtie Baker Weaver on November 18, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Myrtie Weaver.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Joyner Weaver; daughters Marsha Weaver and Donna Weaver Gilles (Phil); one grandchild; one great -grandchild; brother Frank B. Weaver, Jr.; sister, Vivian Bottoms.

Services were held Sunday, October 28, 2018 at West Mount Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, with Rev. Wray Wheeless officiating. The NC Army National Guard provided a military burial service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to West Mount Baptist Church, 8487 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803; West Mount Ruritan Club Scholarship Fund; North Carolina National Guard Educational Foundation, 7410 Chapel Hill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607; or Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash General Hospital, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
