ROCKY MOUNT - Marguerite Pitt Grimes Inscoe, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Born in Edgecombe County, on March 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Whitley Pitt and Rosa Tolston Pitt. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel W. Grimes and William T. Inscoe, Sr.; daughters, Marlene Grimes Lancaster and Phyllis Grimes Lepak; and sisters, Dorothy Pitt Edmondson and Billie Pitt Purvis.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda G. Kicklighter and husband, Larry; sons-in-law, Watson Lancaster and wife, Martha, and Gerald "Jerry" Lepak; step-sons, William "Bisco" Inscoe, Jr. and Frank S. Inscoe and wife, Linda; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Northside Community Church, 1660 Beaver Pond Road, Rocky Mount, with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10 - 10:40 a.m. prior to the service in the Northside Community Church Sanctuary.
