SPRING HOPE - Darvin M. Shearin, age 69, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008 in Nash General Hospital.

Darvin was born in Nash County on June 23, 1938 to the late William Raymond and Nancy Mae Manning Shearin. He was a retired Navy veteran who served his country for many years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Kevin Shearin and wife Dana, of Kalamazoo, MI; a brother and sister-in-law, Thurlo and Shelby Jean Shearin, of Spring Hope; and three grandchildren.

The family received friends at Spring Hope Funeral Home on Thursday evening, May 29, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:30.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holly Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 1640 Holly Road, Spring Hope, NC 27882.
