ROCKY MOUNT - Ruby Watson McLamb, age 87, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018. Born in Edgecombe County on July 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Andrew Watson, Sr. and Ada Sykes Watson. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen; sisters, Mortie Watson and Barbara Parker; brothers, Jessie Watson, Jr. and James McDonald.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Willis Jennings "Bud" McLamb; her daughters, Susan Felton and husband, Gerry, Scottie Powell and husband, Larry, Stephanie Pantoja and husband, Billy; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held Friday, September 7, 2018 at at Christ Covenant Church, Rocky Mount, with Rev. Matthew Felton and Rev. Jeff Hedgepeth officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
