DORTCHES - Dianne Dickens Griffin, age 68, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born in Halifax County on April 27, 1950. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Hedgebeth Dickens.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, George Griffin; children, Ashley Brown Wilson and husband, Drew, of Garner, Dana Brown Corbett and husband, Brad, of Bolivia, Jacob Dickens Brown and wife, Kristin, of Dortches; step-daughters, Shannon Dawn Griffin of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Michelle Leigh Griffin of Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren; father, Rev. Grady Dickens and wife, Millicent Dickens; brothers, Courtland Dickens of Rocky Mount, Larry Dickens and wife, Gail, of Buies Creek; sisters, Janice Smith and husband, Bruce, of Dortches, Becky Westcott and husband, Matthew, of Raleigh; brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Melinda Griffin of Red Oak; and sister-in-law, Brenda Burns of Raleigh; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Dortches Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Barton officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
