ROCKY MOUNT - Laura Schlener Friedrich, age 69, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert Schlener and Marjorie Valentine Schlener. She is also predeceased by her husband, Peter William Friedrich.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Friedrich Hutson and her husband, Shane, of Nashville, TN; sons, Chris Friedrich and his wife, Mickey, of Spring Hope, Jason Friedrich and his wife, Audrey, of Rocky Mount, and Peter Friedrich and his wife, Jennifer, of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sunday, September 2, 2018, in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Kelly Shope officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 58 in c/o VIP Printing, 1911 N. Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, in Laura's memory.
