ROCKY MOUNT - William Roger Peele, 92, passed August 9, 2018. He was born in Wilson County to the late John Vernon Peele Sr and Mamie Wells Peele. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three "children"Angela, Smokey and Tiffany; his brother John Vernon Peele Jr. and sisters Ruby P.Williams and Gretchen P. Whitaker.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Nellie Peele; sister Mildred Peele Morris (Shorty); brother-in-law John C. Coats, Jr. and sister-in-law Shirley S. Coats; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

As he wished there will be no visitation and the service and entombment will be private.
