Harvey Cleveland Cooke, Jr., 74, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018. He was born November 2, 1943 in Halifax County to the late Harvey Cleveland Cooke, Sr. and Martha Summerlin Cooke. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his son, Harvey A. Cooke and sisters, Edith Barnhill, Lela Hunter, and Eula Denton.
He is survived by his wife Lynda Robinette Cooke; son, Timothy Scott Cooke; daughters Frances Holmes, Allison Talley; step-children Teresa Overton, H.T. Dickens, Susan Menius, Jeff Menius, Randy Menius; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Sue Cooke; one niece; brother-in-law, George Barnhill; 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Gene Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. prior to the service.
