Ronald Keith Strum, age 85, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Born in Nash County on January 8, 1933, he was the son of the late James Benjamin Strum and Lottie Frazier Strum. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn "Kathy" Pittman Strum; and eight siblings.

He is survived by his son, Donald "Donnie" Strum and fiancé, Sally Humphries, of Pauline, SC; and daughters, Teresa "Terri" Rackley and husband, Tim, of Rocky Mount and Lisa Strum Allen of Nashville; four grandchildren; sisters, Catherine "Cat" Nelms of Louisburg, Kay Provetero and husband, John, of Cape Carteret, and Gayle Miller and husband, Barry, of Crozet, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. David Joyner officiating. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
