Raymond Lee "Bootie" Parker, age 83, of Rocky Mount, passed away at his home on Monday, July 23, 2018. Born in Nash County on May 1, 1935, he was the son of the late William U. and Myrtle Gardner Parker. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Aileen W. Parker; and one brother, William H. Parker.

He is survived by his sisters, Alma P. Johnson of Rocky Mount and Marie Poland (Carlton) of Rockingham; sister-in-law Evelyn M. Parker of Rocky Mount; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
