Alene Langley Lee Burnette, of Rocky Mount, passed away on July 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents German (Jarman) Langley and Judah Joyner Langley; sisters, Chris Walker and Loretta High; brother, Garland Langley; daughters, Phyllis Lee Lane Smith and Sara Lee Joyner; grandson, Christopher Lane, husbands, Clyde Lee and Joe Burnette.
Alene is survived by her sons, Ronnie Lee (June), Ronnie Burnette (Lynn); daughter, Debbie Clayton; 8 grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two siblings, sister, Frances Batts and brother, David Langley and wife, Linda.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Alan Whitley and Pastor John Scott officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
