Judith Inez Batchelor, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Born in Nash County on September 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde and Retha Wells Ferrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Norris Gray Batchelor; one sister, Lou Ferrell; and one brother, Michael Ferrell.

She is survived by her daughters, Joan Hamm, Melinda Batchelor and Kim Hamm (John); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Wilson, Maxine McCall, Janet Wilson and Della Archer and one brother Patrick Ferrell.

Services were held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Mills officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
