Judith Inez Batchelor, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Born in Nash County on September 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde and Retha Wells Ferrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Norris Gray Batchelor; one sister, Lou Ferrell; and one brother, Michael Ferrell.

She is survived by her daughters, Joan Hamm, Melinda Batchelor and Kim Hamm (John); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Wilson, Maxine McCall, Janet Wilson and Della Archer and one brother Patrick Ferrell.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
