Thomas "Dwight" Fisher, age 72, of Red Oak, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Born in Nash County on June 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Tommie Henderson Fisher and Lessie Denson Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl Pollard Fisher.

He is survived by one daughter, Catryna Whitehurst and husband, Paul of Red Oak; three sons, Walter Brent Fisher and wife, Ashton, of Red Oak, Michael Bryant Fisher and wife, Julie, of Red Oak, and Adam Scott Fisher and wife, Ashley, of Red Oak; ten grandchildren; one sister, Janice Thomas of Kannapolis; one niece; and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at11 a.m. at Red Oak Baptist Church, Red Oak, with Rev. Chris Fowler and Rev. Nate James officiating. Burial will follow the service at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
