Gladys Davis (Dickie) Lewis, age 96, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Born in Chesterfield County, Virginia on October 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mena Denton Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Cecil Allen Lewis; sister Elsie Davis Ezzell; brothers Wade Davis, Hilton Davis, and infant Milton Davis.

She is survived by her children Cecil Allen Lewis, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of The Villages, FL, Carolyn Lewis Allsbrook and her husband John of Rocky Mount, James Milton (Jim) Lewis and his wife Teresa of Mount Airy; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Montgomery Lawrence (Monty) Davis and his wife Helen of Virginia Beach, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Presbyterian Church, 1001 West Haven Blvd., Rocky Mount, NC 27803 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash Health Care, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

A graveside service officiated by the Rev. Sam Codington, will be held at a later date with burial to follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
