Darlene "Gayle" Smith, age 70, of Battleboro, Saturday, May 5, 2018. Born in Nash County on July 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William Ennis Rowland and Della May Burgess Rowland. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tim Bulluck; brothers, Bobby Rowland and Ronald Rowland; and sister, Judy Rowland.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Smith; daughter, Tina Bulluck Joyner of Nashville; three grandchildren; brother, Billy Rowland and wife, Christie, of Elm City.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Price officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4:30 PM to 5:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
