Sylvester "Prim" Gray Smith, 87, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018. He was born in Nash Co. on November 25, 1930 to the late James and Claudia Pridgen Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Boone Smith, one brother; Wesley Smith, and two sisters; Thelma Ingram, and Iretha Bridgers.
He is survived by his daughter Claudia Hadley (Jeff); one granddaughter. A funeral service was held April 12 at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial was in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
