Ronald "Charlie" Peacock, Sr., age 79, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Born in Nash County on May 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Calvin Bruce Peacock and Margaret Saunders Peacock. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Peacock; and infant sister, Inis Faye.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gladys Aycock Peacock; son, Ronnie Peacock and wife, Darolyn, of Rocky Mount; and daughter, Kathy Bellamy of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Judy Greene and husband, Bill, of Ahoskie; sister-in-law, Louise Peacock; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church, Rocky Mount with Pastor Michael Willard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.
