Mary Joyner Jackson, age 89, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. Born in Nash County on October 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Kennie Joyner and Mamie Pridgen Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Edward Jackson; infant daughter; brothers, Thurman, Harrison, Cecil, Junior (Kennie), Larry, and Buddy Joyner; sisters, Dora Williams, Emma Mae Turner, Jennie Daughtridge, and Bell Turner.

She is survived by her son, Robert "Scott" Jackson, Sr. and wife, Angelia; and daughter, Patsy Roberta Jackson Jones, all of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Joyner of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating. The Family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Mary's Home.
