Henry Lewis Byers, Jr., 69, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018. He was born in Charlottesville, VA to the late Henry Lewis Byers, Sr. and Florine Kennedy Byers Gregory. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by sisters Janice Byers, Joan Byers and Olivia Byers; brother, James Byers and mother in law Mattie Revis Holloway.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Holloway Byers; son, Franklin Byers; daughter, Paige Byers; four grandchildren; sisters Catherine Ross Charlotte, VA., and Florine Jolly of Capital Heights, MD; brothers-in-law, Louis Holloway, Jr., Minister William E. Holloway, Sr. (Lennie), Ervin Holloway (Charlotte), Elvin Holloway, Clarence Hatfield (Vivian) of Hackensack NJ, Eugene Holloway of Tarboro; sisters-in-law Regina Holloway of Rocky Mount and Estelle Holloway Horne of Lawrence, NC., and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many other relatives.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Englewood Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Cloer officiating. Burial will be at Coastal Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC on Monday, March 5, 2018.
