Paul Armistice Moore, 87, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008. He was born in Nash County November 11, 1920 to the late Paul and Kate May Moore. Paul was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Sealock and Joyce Ryles.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Cooper Moore of 63 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Moore and Gaye of Nashville, Steve Moore and Lynn of Nashville; grandchildren, Arrington Moore of Nashville, Wimberly Moore of Raleigh, Ben Moore of New York City; brother, Curtis Moore and wife Floretta of Gaston Lake; sisters, Esther Westbrook and husband Jim of Roanoke Rapids, Carolene Hyde of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Nashville United Methodist Church (and other times at the home) with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Interment followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moore Scholarship Fund c/o Nashville United Methodist Church or Nash General Hospice.
