NASHVILLE – John Howard Godwin, 34, died Friday, July 14, 2006. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 18 at First Baptist Church in Rocky Mount with the Rev. Larry Curtis officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

He was born July 18, 1971 in Fayetteville, the son of Howard and Becky Godwin. He lived in Rocky Mount most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Nicole; daughters, Madilyn and Reagan, both of Nashville; stepson, J.T. Joyner of Nashville; parents Howard and Becky Godwin of Rocky Mount; grandmother, Wilsey Godwin of Rocky Mount; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Anne Godwin of Rocky Mount, two nieces, two aunts, and one uncle.
