Eleanor Jane Outen Grant, age 79, of Nashville, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. Born in Guilford County, NC on November 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Outen and Fairy King Outen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry James Grant, Sr.; and brothers, Jake, Daniel, and Robert Outen.

She is survived by her son, Larry James "Jim" Grant, Jr. and wife, Denise, of Red Oak; and daughter, Christina Grant Kinley and husband, Scott, of Trinity; three grandchildren; brother, Phil Outen and wife, Becky, of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Kay Outen of Asheboro, Brenda Outen of Winston-Salem, and Hilda Outen of Asheboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Richard Price officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
