Michael "Mike" Woodard Cobb, age 57, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Born in Nash County on October 24, 1960, he was the son of Alton Earl Cobb and Mavis Boykin Cobb. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Cobb; and uncle, Dennis Raper.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth McAdams Cobb; daughters, Ashley Cobb Melvin and husband, Cody, of Rocky Mount, and Catherine Cobb Green and husband, Doug, of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; mother, Mavis Boykin Cobb; brother, Ronald Cobb and wife, Rhonda; aunts, Doris Raper and Sandra Wilson and husband, Ed; father-in-law, Gordon McAdams; sister-in-law, Mary Lynne Weaver and husband, Todd; and four nieces. .

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Wray Wheeless officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

A private family burial will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nash Hospice and Palliative Care, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
