Joyce Walker Williams, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will be from 2-3 p.m. in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

She is survived by her sons, "Jon" Williams, and Russell "Rusty" Williams and his wife, Michelle; her two daughters, Martha Bryan and her husband, Eric, and Melody McDonald and her husband, Clarence; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Gurney Walker and several nieces and nephews.

Born in Nash County on August 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Russell Walker and Carrie Baker Walker. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Linwood, and Ray Walker; and her sisters, Voce Long, Varah Butler, and Rena Jones.
