William R. "Fuzzy" Pridgen, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Born in Edgecombe county on September 16, 1945. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary Magdalene Braswell Pridgen and Joseph Russell Pridgen and daughter, Melinda Journigan.

He is survived by his wife, Helen L. Pridgen of Nashville, daughters, Cindy R. Craig and husband Tony A. Craig, Sandy G. Boyette and husband Robert Boyette and Debra L. Ramdale and husband Renni Ramdale; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his siblings, sister, Jean P. Moore and husband, Rev. Stephen Moore; brothers, Joseph "Jake" Pridgen and wife, Peggy, Henry Wayne Pridgen and wife, Yvonne Nunnery and Marvin Pridgen and wife, Burnae.

A funeral Service was held on Friday, December 8, 2017 the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mill Branch Cemetery.
