Author "Buddy" Perry Fannin, 75, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017. He was born February 19, 1942 in Nash County to the late William Fannin and Ruth Shearin Coppedge. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a step-brother Fred Coppedge; brother-n-law Johnny Ray and Bernard Batchelor; sister-in-law Geraldine Batchelor; step-father William Dewey Coppedge.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Rosa Bell Batchelor Fannin; son Jimmy Fannin(Donna); two grandchildren and Lorelei Fannin; step-brother Michael Coppedge (Faye); sister Patricia Murry (Wilson); sisters-in-law Robbie Batchelor and Hilda Coppedge; brother-in-law Adolphus Batchelor (Vera); six nieces; five nephews.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Braziel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Momeyer Baptist Church 4967 Momeyer Way Nashville, NC 27856.
