Thurman Carpenter, 74, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was born in Nash County on February 5, 1943 to the late Richard and Manda Boone Carpenter. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters Ethel "Monk" Pittman, Ruby Hawkins and Bertha "Doodle" Curlings, Lettie Wells, Julius and Clifton Carpenter.

He is survived by his daughters Angel Myers and Cassie Harlow(Laurence); one grandson; sisters, Harriet Pittman and Florence "Frog" Webb; special friend Frances Tonecha; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Ronnie Bass officiating.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
