EUNICE LANGLEY BATCHELOR


Eunice Langley Batchelor, 84, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006. She was born in Nash County on January 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Willie Lindsey Langley and Emma Baker Langley. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Thomas Batchelor, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Marvin Ambro Langley and a grandson, Travis Grant Batchelor. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Billy Ray Batchelor and wife Gail Turner Batchelor; Alvin Wayne Batchelor and wife Martha Short Batchelor; Albert Thomas Batchelor and wife Judy Green Batchelor; Ralph Derwood Batchelor and wife Syliva Whitley Bachelor; and one daughter, Deborah Batchelor Kincheloe and husband John Bulluck Kincheloe. Other survivors include sisters Doris Langley Lindsey, Lois Langley Dixon, Carolina Langley Harrell, and brother Thurman Willie Langley; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home in Rocky Mount Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Jimmy Reavis officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville.
