Alfonza Deans, age 83 of Spring Hope, passed away October 6, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Sandy Fork Baptist Church in Nash County. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope.

He is survived by his children, Mary Marshburn (James) of Spring Hope, Linda Godwin of Bailey, Kathy Harris (Lawrence) of Rocky Mount, Sharifa Posey of Asheboro, and Bonita Deans of Wilson; sons, Russell Deans (Patricia) of Bailey, Ronald Deans (Minnie) of Spring Hope, Alonza Deans of Zebulon, Tyrone Deans of Raleigh, John Deans of Wilson and Alfonza Deans, Jr. of Knightdale; sisters, Brenda Dunston (Kenneth) of Spring Hope, Minister Angela Bridges of Bailey, Janice Wilkerson (Lester) of Rocky Mount and Arthur Deans (Jennie) of Bailey; 25 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
