Mary Braswell Pridgen, age 91, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Born in Nash County on May 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Stella Braswell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Russell Pridgen.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean P. Moore and husband, Rev. Stephen Moore; sons, Joseph "Jake" Pridgen and wife, Peggy, William "Bill" Russell Pridgen and wife, Helen, Henry Wayne Pridgen and wife, Yvonne and Marvin Pridgen and wife, Burnae; 11 grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren..

Services were held Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Stephen Moore officiating. Burial followed at Mill Branch Cemetery.

In lieu of flower, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a Charity of one's choice.
