Lee Edwards, age 89, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017. Born in Goldsboro on August 26, 1928, he was the son of the late LR Edwards and Hattie Massey Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Edwards; and son-in-law, Wilson Lane.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hilda Land Edwards; son, Brian Edwards; and daughters, Phyllis Lane of Nashville, and Carol Solana and husband, Alan, of Wilmington; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Monday, September 18, 2017 Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum on the Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
