Danny Ray McCalston, age 59 of Castalia, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017 at St. Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Spring Hope. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3 - 7 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at William Toney's Funeral Home, Spring Hope.

Survivors include his son, Cortney McCalston (Jettina) of Bailey, and daughter Chrystal Richardson (Terence) of Castalia; four brothers, Jimmy Brinkley (Yvonne) of Nashville, James, John (Dorothy) both of Spring Hope, and Otis (Linda) of Raleigh; five sisters, Ruth Tucker (Lee), Marie Hinnant (Johnny), Linda Hinnant, all of Spring Hope, Annie Harris (Spence) of Nashville and Brenda Farmer (Ardell) of Spring Hope; sister-in-law, Emma McCalston of Spring Hope; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
