Edgar Dal Odom, age 73, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born in Nash County, on January 30, 1944, he was the son of the late Edgar Dallas Odom and Nellie Mae Shagena Odom. He was also preceded in death by his brother George David Odom and in-laws Harold Warren and Ola Dean Goff, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon Goff Odom; daughters Kellie Dean Odom Huffman and husband, Bryan Alex Huffman, of Cary; and Angela Nell Odom Stallings and husband, Michael Ryan Stallings, of N. Warwickshire, England; 4 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nash Hospice and Palliative Care, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, 1101 West Haven Blvd., Rocky Mount with the Rev. Michael McHarg officiating. Visitation and reception with the family will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
